Samsung has introduced a new mid-range Android smartphone called Galaxy Core Lite. It is an affordable Galaxy smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity on board. It will be available to buy in Korea this month for TWD 7,988, roughly around Rs 15,800. However, there is no word about the global availability at the moment.
The Galaxy Core Lite has a 4.7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UI, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. There's a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash, but the phone misses out on a front snapper for video calling. Besides LTE, it is equipped with regular connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC. It is fuelled by a 2,000mAh battery.
It's possible that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Core Lite in India, since we're hearing reports that the vendor is testing out the Galaxy S4 Mini LTE for the country.
